Hello! My name is Kyana!

From a young age, I’ve always had a love for doodling and drawing. I would habitually stay up late to draw my favorite Saturday morning cartoons. However, I was devoted to studying medicine. So I graduated from playing doctor with my cousins to a degree in science, always committed to finding a career in healthcare.

After studying both chemistry and painting in college, I was determined to find a path that allowed me to practice both. Upon learning about medical illustration, the choice was easy. I first heard about the field while I was working as a medical assistant in a dermatology clinic. It was there that I realized I loved teaching and working with patients. I want to continue creating artwork that helps educate both healthcare professionals and patients.

I am a recent graduate from the Medical Illustration program at Augusta University. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in Studio Arts from the University of Virginia. I am currently working to obtain my statues as a Certified Medical Illustrator.
